Get a Kindle or tablet for Christmas? Want some enjoyable, inexpensive content for it? Beginning tomorrow at 8 AM, through Friday, you can my new novel, High Ground, to your device for just ninety-nine cents, down from its regular $3.99 price. If you are a Kindle Unlimited reader, the book is available free of charge.
The next two days, Saturday and Sunday, it will be available for $1.99, and the next two, Monday and Tuesday, $2.99 until it returns to its regular price next Wednesday.
A ruse to get you to take the plunge and get a copy? A way to get the book noticed? Well, yes, you got me, but here’s my hope: you’ll take the plunge and buy a copy because it seems interesting, yet rather inexpensive. You’ll read it, enjoy it and one day perhaps leave a kind review on its Amazon page or in GoodReads, helping our upstart little novel and its humble author find a new reader or two. It’s not required of you, of course, but I think it would be nice. Don’t you?
But wait, as they like to say on late night TV, there’s more: you can even check out a few chapters for free, on your Mac, PC or your Kindle, or even your iPad or Android tablet. For the latter two devices, just download the free Kindle app for iPad or Android.
Thus far, more people have bought the book in paper at $14.99 than in eBook for $3.99 and God Bless Them Every One. Who doesn’t love the feel and smell of a new honest-to-God book printed on heavy paper with real black ink. I get it! So, if you bought a paperback edition through Amazon, but also have an eReader, you kind people can have the eBook for free. Zero. Nada. Zippo and Butkus, with my thanks.
Happy New Year!
