So, I’ve worked on and off on my new novel, High Ground, for years, honed my writing skills writing for broadcast and press, studied other people’s work, subscribed to writing and publishing websites, broadened my social media skills (still a work in progress, yes) and responded to every reader inquiry and question.
My two-year-old grandniece, Charlie sees my book on the coffee table Wednesday, picks it up and dubs it “Lion King!” I post her picture and that little story and my social media blows up, people buy books and like my book’s page.
What have I learned? I’m in negotiations with her Dad to secure Charlie’s services as my novel’s new spokesmodel. In the meantime, here’s a picture of my dog. He likes the book, too…
